With over 33 years of dental experience, Dr. Hanson is an extremely valuable member of our team. Over the decades, she’s learned how to completely personalize her approach for each patient so they not only achieve fantastic results that can be trusted to last, but enjoy a comfortable experience as well. Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Hanson saw that dentistry would allow her to combine all of her passions into one career path. She always knew she wanted to be in the medical field, plus as a naturally artistic and crafty person, the opportunity to work with her hands every day made dentistry an obvious choice. After 30+ years in the field and serving countless patients, she still looks forward to work every day.
Education
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Hanson’s college career began at Wayne State University, and she went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She then completed a one-year residency at the VA Hospital in Boston, and after finishing, she taught at the University of Michigan for 10 years. Even though she is out of school, she says her education has never really stopped, as she continues to take courses every year so she can stay on top of the latest breakthroughs in dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Hanson loves fiber arts and working with wool, so her weekends often involve making things for both herself and her friends. Her other hobby used to be breeding, raising, and showing Pembroke Welsh Corgis, which she did for over 30 years. Today, she shares her home with one corgi and cat that she’s more than happy to spoil.
