What Is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a non-invasive cosmetic dentistry treatment in which a dentist applies a tooth-colored material to a problem tooth and molds it to hide any aesthetic flaws. This material, known as composite resin, is most commonly used in filling cavities. However, because it can be shaded to match any color of tooth enamel, it can also conceal many cosmetic issues, including:
- Stains that don’t respond to whitening treatments
- Minor gaps between teeth
- Small but noticeable chips or cracks
- Slightly misshapen or stubby teeth
